A Thursday Night Dinner to be held on the evening before the start of the International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC)
Date & Time: Thursday, July 28, 2022; appetizers start at 6:00pm; first course at 6:45pm.
Place: Home of Eugenia Keegan and David Adelsheim, on the lawn overlooking the historic Quarter Mile Lane Vineyard
In the beginning, it was intended to be simple – just Chisa Bize (Domaine Simon Bize, one of our favorite Burgundy producers) and Adelsheim. Then a bunch of our IPNC-bound winery friends heard about the dinner and It Got Out of Hand. Here’s where we stand on wineries (all are IPNC wineries, too):
Champagne Laurent-Perrier (France)
Domaine Simon Bize (Burgundy)
Domaine Fornerol (Burgundy)
Weingut J. Hofstätter (Alto Adige, Italy)
Brewer-Clifton (Sta. Rita Hills, CA)
Gran Moraine (Yamhill-Carlton, OR)
Adelsheim Vineyard (Chehalem Mountains, OR)
With seven wineries to keep in check, we were in desperate need of an amazing chef. We turned to someone we have long admired, Pascal Chureau. We first met him, when he was the chef at Fenouil in Portland, 2005-2010. Since then, he has his own place, Allium in West Linn.
Expect a meandering, French country dinner from Chef Chureau. And way too many wines.
Dress: Are you kidding? It’s summer in the Willamette Valley!
