After a hiatus of four years due to the pandemic, Pinot in the City, hosted by the Willamette Valley Wineries Association, makes its triumphant return to Seattle on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at a location to be announced soon. The WVWA boasts a robust history within the Seattle market, having organized a trade and consumer tasting in 2010, followed by a similar event under the Pinot in the City banner in 2014.
This event will follow a similar model to past Pinot in the City events with an afternoon walk-around trade and media tasting followed by an evening version for ticket-paying consumers.
Seattle was selected as the inaugural city post-hiatus due to its proximity to the Willamette Valley, making it a cost-effective and easily accessible market. Moreover, Seattle stands as a prime destination for tourism to the Willamette Valley and serves as a stronghold for wine club memberships. Lastly, the presence of Willamette Valley winery representatives and targeted distributor outreach will benefit Seattle's restaurants and retailers, amplifying their visibility within the local wine scene.
