Partner Vineyard Selection

Pinot noir harvest is only about two weeks away! We thought what better time to showcase our partner vineyards! Our vineyard team works tirelessly on tending these vineyards, relationships, and work with the farmers to ensure the quality of grapes received are up to our standards.

We selected our partner vineyards because of their uniqueness and capacity for making stunning wines. Here’s what makes them so special:

2018 Zenith - We’ve been working with Zenith Vineyard, found down in the Eola-Amity Hills, and its farmers since 1986. These grapes come from two small neighboring blocks of 667 and Pommard clone. Zenith is a transitional soil, moving from volcanic to marine sedimentary. This allows for a unique and delicious wine.

2018 Grand Oak - Previously known as Nicholas Vineyard, Grand Oak Vineyard is a lovely site tucked away in the Chehalem Mountains’ newest AVA, The Laurelwood District. Planted in loess soil, we used our absolute favorite barrels for this blend. It is a blend of 667 and 115 clones, all of which were planted in 2001.

2018 Winderlea - This fruit comes from our friends at Winderlea Vineyard, a LIVE certified site rooted in the volcanic soil of The Dundee Hills. This block was planted back in 1999 and we were fortunate to work with these vines since they first started producing fruit. Of our partner vineyards, Winderlea is limited production at 140 cases. This wine comes from 1.1 acres of the 667 clone. Because of its limited production, this wine is perfect for the collectors.

Adelsheim is very fortunate to have growing partners that allow us to collaborate on growing styles, sustainability, and farming practices. “
