We are fortunate to have diverse soils here in the Chehalem Mountains suited to world-class winemaking. In this collection, we highlight soil - after all, it is the heart of all we do. Three soils are represented, each with a story, expressing a sense of place in every vintage. Volcanic soil, marine sedimentary soil, and wind-blown loess soil all impart distinctiveness and a fascinating examination.
