2021 Calkins Lane Pinot Noir

2021 Calkins Lane Pinot Noir

$75.00

ROASTED HAZELNUT | RED LICORICE | COCOA POWDER

This is a more subtle version of Calkins Lane, but quite compelling in its finesse and deftness. I note the typical Calkins aromas of freshly roasted hazelnuts, red licorice, allspice, and cocoa powder. It’s the texture that sets this wine apart. The tannins are quieter and more refined, wrapped into the plush, velvety core. I am curious to see this wine develop along its long, long journey.

-Gina Hennen, Winemaker

Scented nose showing red berries, forest strawberries, peppermint and some warm spices. It’s medium-bodied with bright acidity. Succulent and crunchy, with a transparent character. Vivid and precise.”

-James Suckling, 94 Points
